Hi everyone
Can anyone tell me anything about the Hotel New York - we are staying in a standard room
What are the rooms like ?
What are the breakfasts like etc

We stayed in the NY last time. The rooms were nice although we appeared to struggle to find anywhere for the buggy as we had the travel cot too in the room. The cocktail bar is fantastic and the breakfasts were always quiet when we went and there was lots of continental but no cooked breakfasts unless you paid.

Hi, we found the rooms nice and the bathroom is a good size. If you open the mini bar make sure you check your bill before you pay as it automatically charges you if you move something.

Breakfast has always been quiet for us, with a good range, when we were there in December it included hot items such as sausages and eggs, don't think this is standard though.

Rooms and bathrooms are a bit bigger than the SL or NPB. Bathroom has two basins and a telephone in it!!! :snooty: :teeth: The room service option is nice, though you do have to pay a 10 euro delivery charge. This works best when your SIL in the connecting room next door orders everything on the card and enough for four people!! ;)

Really enjoyed staying there in the winter. We had a view of the ice rink, the room was very comfortable, and it's so close to the Disney Village, and then on to the parks!! :thumbsup2

I was also going to warn you about the mini bar - be careful!!!

Here are some photos of the room and the cocktail bar. We had a lake view room, but I think the style of the rooms is similar to the standard room.

Since our second visit to the New York hotel, we always had a little welcome gift waiting for us in our room, a rose in the bathroom and bath robes. Maybe it's because we come every year since 10 years now (but not always at the New York, sometimes to the Sequoia Lodge) :confused3
But, it's so great :thumbsup2 :goodvibes
I don't know which one I will choose between the Sequoia Lodge and the New York hotel this November...

The room look really comfortable, Crokette. And the lake view picture is beautiful! thanks for sharing!

Those are gorgeous pictures of the hotel in the winter! I'm considering it too, for my Christmas trip ... last time I stayed there was '95 and we got upgraded for free due to a double booking, don't think I'd be so lucky this time! :p

The Manhattan Restaurant is wonderful, too - a bit on the pricey side, but worth it if you want a really nice meal. We were staying at the Cheyenne a few weeks ago but made sure to make a booking at the Manhattan for our last night. :)

If you are given a choice of where to eat breakfast try to get the Manhattan restaurant, it never seemed as busy and it is very pretty

Thanks for the info everyone.

Great photos and a superb view too. I'd love that room - we could watch DS on the ice rink and stay warm while doing it !

Sadly I haven't got a SIL :eeyore:

Somewhat off thread- but yes my avatar does have a rat next to Mickey :mickeyjum

We now have 2 !

See my tags - hopefully the rats won't get me next time:goodvibes :scared1:

Thanks for getting avatar to the right size Steve
