Hi

DD has been accepted to the program and checks in on May 29th :cool1: :thumbsup2 :woohoo:

Can anyone tell what hotels are near the check in point. We will be driving her car down and arriving a couple of days early.

Any help and information is appreciated!!!!!

Have a magical Disney Day!!

Why Yes I can!!! LoL I know that the Vista Shearaton is right there the closest... but there is also the Holiday Inn on Sr 535. If you are looking for something on property... Port Orleans (Riverside and French Quarter) or any of the Hotels right by Downtown Disney (like the Grovesvenor the Hilton and what not).

If you need any more hotel names just PM me and I will look for ya!

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Sunspree right by Vista. Cheap, and easy to get to Vista.

My ds is currently concluding his term and I've made several trips to the area during his stay. Yes, the Sheraton Vistana is the closest but if you can't find a good deal there you have lots of other options. The Holiday Inn Sun Spree is immediately across the Hwy. It is important to know when looking at the area that SR535 is also known as Apopka Vineland Rd. The address of the nearest business (Walgreens) to the apt. complex is 13502 S Apopka Vineland Rd Orlando, FL 32821. You should be able to use that to run a search for any hotels you are considering to see the milage. There are so many options and price ranges that I'm not sure how to advise you. If you are looking for real economy rooms you might want to consider the East end area of 192 (also known as W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy) the addys with numbers in the 4000s-5000s range would be easily accessible. If you wanted higher end accomadations you might want to consider Downtown Disney (Hotel Plaza Boulevard addys) or Palm Parkway addys would not be far removed. The very southern ends of International Drive would also offer up some quality rooms. And of course you can't beat the quality of the rooms on property (though I wouldn't waste the extra $$ for this event). Even the lowest rate Disney resorts are not more than 10-15 minutes from the property.

If you have questions about a specific hotel/resort I would be happy to give you my opinion on the proximity and appearance. Good Luck to you both and if I can help out just ask.

When I checked in to the WDWCP, we stayed at the Days Inn across from Downtown Disney but the name has changed. I think it's Buena Vista Inn or something like that.

when i checked in the first time i stayed at the mariott in downtown disney. this time i was able to get All Star Music for $39.00 a night through Priceline.com. If you have a car to drive around down there, i've noticed that it doesn't matter too much where you stay. my roommate last time had her parents come down to visit several times and they always stayed at all star, also carribean beach and cornado springs are about the same distance (my parents/family always stayed at these places when they came to visit).

I am staying at the Holiday Inn on SR 535, looks decent and isn't that expensive.

I am flying in a day early and staying at the holiday inn as well they said i could be shuttled from the airport for 15 dollars, which beats the 45 dollar estimated cab rate a few sites gave me.
