Hi Everyone

I'm thinking about spending 4 days or so in Orlando. I want to go back to Discovery Cove. I also want to go to Seaworld, and maybe Disneyworld for a day. Can you suggest a non-disney hotel around sea world that isn't expensive. The ones on the discovery cove website are too expensive. Thanks in advance!

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in 2005. It was OK for the price. The pool was small but clean. I would not stay there again though because I was so mad that they put us in a smoking room and would not move us. Our clothes and luggage smelled like smoke for months afterwards.

Hi Megan,

we stayed at the residence inn seaworld a couple of years back. It was absolutely fab, we had a suite rather than a room and full breakfast buffet all for $88 a night for the 5 of us, and its not much more expensive now either. Its on Westwood Boulevard, right up the road from seaworld and discovery cove.

Hope this helps, PM me if you want any more info. P.S It's a Marriott property and the cheapest deals came from their own website.

There is a nearer Hawthorn that this. Its on Westwood Boulevard at the South End of I-Drive. It is maybe two or three mins drive from Seaworld. Its clean, tidy although a bit dated and there is a great free breakfast.

We stayed at the Renaissance at Sea World a few years back. We walked over to Sea World several times. The hotel is beautiful, and from what I understand the rooms and the huge atrium were refurbished in 2007. The service was outstanding. We ate in the deli a few times and the food quality was okay, but typically over priced. The rooms were large enough, but at the time I remember the furniture was showing wear. I'm sure the rooms have new furniture now. The pool area was nice, but we were there in October and the "heated" pool was very cold. The bar area in the atrium is nice, and there is a koi pond as well. My DD loved going down during feeding time. I've seen rates all across the board. We got the room through Priceline, and although I don't remember exactly how much we paid, it was reasonable. I would definitely recommend this hotel, if the rate was reasonable.
