I have booked POP Century for April 11-14, but I can't get ANY Disney room for April 10- We will be arriving around 11:30 pm April 10. I would like to get something close to POP, so that I can check in (or at least leave the bags) first thing Tuesday morning, and be able to spend a full day at the parks. Any ideas??? I will not be renting a car so I will have to get transportation from the airport to a hotel April 10, and then to POP Tuesday morning.
Any info would be great!
Thanks

I would go with one near the airport. Most of the airport hotels have a shuttle.

so you can take the shuttle back to the airport and get on DME.

I would try to get back to the airport around 7 am.....if you can manage it - so you can get an early start....

www.priceline.com

or

www.hotelkingdom.com

Otherwise I would suggest Silver Lake (if you can get it for one night), or Holiday Inn West - be warned this place gets some bad reviews.

Can you do this? I thought you could only use ME straight from your flight.

straight from your flight is so that your bags can get picked up... However you are allowed to get your own luggage to the bus and they'll stow it underneath. I think it's doable with ME... Otherwise if you don't want to wait try a hotel in DTD? The DoubleTree has rooms left, but they're spendy. I just checked at their website http://www.doubletree.com/en/dt/hotels/index.jhtml?ctyhocn=MCOFHDT
and they had rooms starting at $209...

Good luck!

:)

Thanks for all the input. I am leaning towards getting a room at the airport and then taking ME in the morning to POP. We will just have carry on, so that shouldn't be too much of a problem. Any ideas on airport hotels? :goodvibes

I too would recommend an MCO hotel. You could use Priceline and probably get a 3* for 50 to 60 dollars. If you don't mind lower quality you could get a 2 1/2 * for less. Check out www.biddingfortravel.com for advise on Priceline.

And if it's too late for shuttles, a taxi is only about $10, and then you could take the shuttle back in the am.

Some of the 2 1/2* hotels don't offer 24 hour shuttles and I'm not sure you'll save more than the $10 + tip cab ride if you get a 2 1/2* vs a 3*. I also note the shuttle service may be much less frequent with some of the 2 1/2* properties.

I'd only drop below 3* if I was desperate, I'd probably book a backup and hope to get a 3* with PL at the last minute.

Have you checked to see if you can get a good deal on the Hyatt right inside MCO. Then you won't even have to worry about shuttles and such.
