Wondering how the CBR works for hotel keys and how we go about charging food & other items to our room to save carrying excess cash or credit cards around. Would be easier to just pay all at once @ check - out.

Can we also charge with our hotel card or how @ Magic Kingdom or other Parks?

We have a 9 Day Hopper Pass,-- what are we given at check in that allows us access to all parks etc.. for our 9 days. Lanyard?

Thanks!

Well as far as the tickets, if you purchased the Ultimate Park Hopper tickets for 8nights/9 days (which I am assuming is your ticket type, as they don't sell any other hopper tickets for that many days), those tickets will be encoded on the magnetic strip on the back of your room key, so your room key will be used as your theme park admission ticket. If you also want to charge things to your room, you can give the front desk a credit card, and then they will also make your room key a charge card, good for all the shops, restaurants, etc inside Walt Disney World, including the 4 theme parks, two water parks, and downtown Disney area, as well as at all the Disney resorts (except the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, which are owned by an outside company). So, the answer to your question is, your room key will become all 3 things - the key to your room, your theme park ticket, and your charge card, all in one. Every member of your party will be given their own key with their own ticket media encoded on the back, and you can choose which keys can have or not have charging privileges.

In addition to the post by freediverdude, also be aware that your charging privileges on your room card will be limited to $500.00. Once you've reached that limit, you will be required to go back to the front desk and present your credit card to authorize an additional $500.00. You may do this as many times as you wish.

If you are staying at CBR the charging limit is $1000. Your room key acts as your charge card. Everyone in your party can get one. It works like a charge card in the parks also.

What would happen if we lost or misplaced a key/card ?

With having it coded for access to all parks, charging to our hotel room etc... Is it easy to get a "stop" put on the lost card & a replacement issued.

Yes it is easy to get them to close out the one card and replace it with a new one.

YES, It is much easier to put a stop on your resort ID and get a new one than it is to put a stop on your credit card.

Even the best credit cards take a minimum of 24 hours for a replacement, where your Disney ID can be stopped and printed again in a matter of minutes.

Can I even have my oldest dd's (17 years old) resort card have charging priveleges? She will be going off on her own with our 13 year old. I thought I could just have her charge their meals instead of giving them money to eat. I don't want the 13 year old have charging priveleges, though.

I’d like to add that some small, typically mobile, food stands in the parks are cash only. Some of them are not "equipped" to handle credit cards and room charging privileges.
