Hotel just outside of Disney for night before

I forgot about them moving your bags. Have you ever had problems with this?
Other than being nervous about something going wrong, no. We moved hotels twice, once on our last trip and once on our very first (mind you it was just between All-Stars), and neither time did we experience any problem. ;)

I love your screen name!!

Are the bags moved in a good time frame? I would be afraid of getting into our resort on the first day and the bags being really late.

OK, Since you are going to be at BWV and need a room for 5, I would suggest seeing if you can get one of the really great rates that Swan & Dolphin has occassionally. I think you would really enjoy the close promiximity and having 2 heavenly beds. Of course, a good rate for S&D is about $149/nt. but you would only need 1 room.

If you want to go really cheap, you may want to try the Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista on Palm Parkway. They sometimes have rates for as low as $49.00 However, with the CI, you get what you pay for.

As for staying at a value for luggage delivery...I think I would pack an overnight bag and leave the rest of your stuff in the trunk until you got BWV.

BTW, I think the luggage services at BWV is the most impressive service I have ever seen in a hotel. :worship: There is nothing like parking your car, handing someone your keys, and walking into the hotel for check-in. We are DVC so we get free valet service. Wonderful.

((I started to say that there is nothing like parking your car and never seeing it or your stuff again...but...errr...umm...well, that has a totally different meaning, doesn't it.))

Wow...so many of you need to be charging for your services. I do appreciate all of the imput. :goodvibes

We are a family of 6 not 5 so that changes the dynamics a bit.

Thank you so much about the info concerning check in at the BWV. I have really been wondering about how they handled things. So thank you for answering that question even before I asked it. :thumbsup2

Thanks! Unfortunately it kind of represents my inability to come up with some more imaginative, but, in a weird way, I've have been told it suits me.

To be honest, I really can't say how long it took, as it really didn't matter either time we did it due to our spending the entire day in parks. But, if memory serves me correctly, I believe we had to allow 4-5 hours for the bags to get from Pop to the Contemporary.

Oh, and before I forgot, my DD(5) told me to let you know that she loves the Pooh in your signature. :thumbsup2

I need a good clean hotel just outside of Disney. We want to drive down the night before our Disney reservation begins. That way we can get an early start on our first day in. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! ::yes:: :goodvibes

you want a free meal with that room? HoJo main gate east. 10 mins from WDW property. kids eat free at IHOP:lovestruc the cost is 40-70 a night depending on time of year. we always stay here to get the kids ready for fun and a place to relax before the days of excitement begain. just an idea since everyone has you staying off property at higher priced hotels. i hope this helps ya.

I did name your own price on Priceline and got Buena Vista Palace for 80.00 bucks!:cool2
Maybe you should try it!

Just a suggestion...GOOD LUCK!!:yay:

Thank you both so much for your help. I have been to Disney several times but never really realized just how many hotels are just outside of Disney. I'm kind of shocked that Disney hasn't capitalized on this since it seems that so many people stay just outside the night before their trip!! But once again, thank you for your imput!!
