Hi, driving down in march & I need a hotel in Savannah right off of I-95. Stayed at the LaQuinta & liked it, buit it is sold out. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Try the Hampton Inns. There are several off I-95 in Savannah. I like them because they are clean, reasonablely priced and they have a free continental breakfast.
Exit 94 right? We usually get off at that exit too. We have stayed at the La Quinta, Red Roof Inn, Comfort Inn, and Fairfield Inn. They were all OK but the Fairfield was the best. Whatever you do, do not stay at the Econo Lodge at that exit. We checked into a room there once for about 10 minutes and left. It was disgusting.
We stayed at a Country Inns and Suites in one of the southern most Savannah exits if memory serves correctly and it was a nice spot. Good place if you need a separate bedroom but the cost is a bit more for that. There were 2 of them around Savannah but ours was the southern most one. Seems like there was a Cracker Barrel within walking distance.
I stayed at the Red Roof Inn I believe at exit 94 in May 2004. It was fine and was less than $50 inc tax. Breakfast was worthless, though. Just go to the Cracker Barrel up the street .
