My husband and I will be driving to WDW from Louisiana.
Any suggestions of a good place to stay the night in Gainesville or on I-75?

Thank you!

From north to south along I-75 in Gainesville:

SR222 exit: Best Western Gateway Grand

SR26 exit: Holiday Inn & La Quinta (Oaks Mall at this exit)

SR24 exit: Holiday Inn Express, Red Roof Inn, Motel 6, Super 8, Hampton Inn (LOTS if restaurants at this exit)

All of these are good in their various price categories. All three exits are within a few miles of each other.

We always used to stay at the Fairfield Inn and would book it through Hotwire. It is the one off of SR 26. It has been about a year since we stayed there, but it was basic and clean. I think it has a free breakfast too. Last I checked it came up as the 2.5 star on Hotwire.

Holiday Inn I-75. It is an older hotel, but the staff is very nice, the pool is well kept, and the food in the restaurant is decent. We stayed just last month. We had a military discount and paid 77. The doors do open to the outside, but we had a courtyard/pool view, so it was no big deal. For one night it was fine.

We stayed at the Country Inn & Suites in Gainesville. Its pretty new and very nice! Its the southern most exit for all of the Gainesville exits.

Thank you, everyone, for the great suggestions!
