Just booked 2nd Disney cruise, the Magic 4 night Bahamian from Miami!!! January 14-18, 2020
So excited!! 2 adults, 2 kids
We are flying to ft lauderdale the evening before and need a hotel with airport shuttle.
Our flight lands at 10pm so we really only need a place to sleep.
Planning on reserving with JiffyJeff for transport from the hotel to Miami.

Any suggestions?
Quality Inn & Suites Airport/Cruise Port South has a reasonable rate and airport shuttle but I have never been to ft lauderdale/miami so any input is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

If you were sailing out of Port Everglades I'd have recommended the cluster of hotels around 17th street (N of FLL), and I believe most of them have hotel shuttles. They are also close to a Publix/Total Wine if you want to pick up some last minute things without having JiffyJeff make a stop.

Haven't stayed at the Quality Inn you're looking at but I did stay at the Hampton right beside it. Wasn't bad.

How exciting! We have cruised a couple times out of Ft Lauderdale.

I suggest using the major travel websites and filtering for hotels with an airport shuttle (a quick search on Expedia reveals quite a few properties available). As you said, landing quite late so all you need is a shuttle and beds. Read your hotel reviews and check the airport shuttle hours and frequency. Also remember there are two cruise ports - Ft Lauderdale and Miami - so when hotel descriptions state cruise port shuttle, clarify which port if you are considering arranging transportation through the hotel shuttle! I can't comment on the Quality Inn, as we have stayed closer to the Ft Lauderdale Port.

If you stay overnight south of the Ft Lauderdale airport, geographically that makes sense as you are going out of the port of Miami. The Dania Beach area is a pretty common place to stay in a hotel when cruising out of either Ft. Lauderdale or Miami and people we have cruised with have stayed in the area without any issue or difficulty.

Can't comment on JiffyJeff - we have always used Uber or Lyft in the area without any issue (adults only, so kids and car seats may make a difference).

And no worries about flying into Ft Lauderdale and going to the Port of Miami - it is common to fly into either Ft Lauderdale or Miami for either port.

thank you! i'll be busy tonight reading hotel reviews :)

I love Fort Lauderdale. Just wish I was a rich famous rock star and I'd have a house and yacht there lol. I wish I was of help but I'm not sure who has shuttles. Comfort Suites Miami Airport has a shuttle to the port, We always rent a car as our favorite hotel is the Sun Tower, right next door to the Pelican Grand. Only downside is there is nothing near these even walking distance and if you are landing late they are pricey. I'm typing this looking at DW I'm about to ask her if she wants to escape to the Sun Tower for a week-end LOL
