I would throw in the “best western plus Anaheim inn” into this discussion (they have queen beds as their standard room)... it’s right next to the Denny’s... (it’s our go to hotel... good warm breakfast (we as Germans love it) and recently renovated rooms) and it’s often a couple of $ cheaper than the BWPPI...

with all those hotels close to the cross walk the walking distance really depends on your room and not the hotel you choose...
When booking your hotel I would try to “request” a room close to harbor and on the 1st or 2nd floor (those stairs to the 3rd floor really “killed” me last year)

We're staying at this hotel the next time we go to DLR and I'm very excited about it.

No I haven’t and I don’t know why! For the same cost we could get a suite there or for even less than Del sol a two bed and pull out sofa.. hummmmm

I had a group of 5 adults who all stayed there for 6 nights on our last trip. We enjoyed it. LOVED how close it was to the parks. It was clean but basic. The front desk was friendly. It's definitely NOT fancy though! My group is a rope drop to fireworks with an afternoon nap in the middle type crowd, so... we highly value price and proximity to parks over any other luxuries or conveniences. They DO offer a breakfast... that sucks. But they also have a microwave and fridge in the room. We would always just bring our own breakfast.
