Last year we spent a wonderful honeymoon at the Poly - our first time on site. There is no way we can afford this again, so I am looking at moderates - POR, POFQ or Coronado? I would particulary like opinions and comparisons between POR and POFQ. Anyone who has been to any of these three resorts - which one should we stay at??????????? It will be just the two of us. Help me decide then I can book and begin my countdown dance. :cheer2:

I've been to all of them and they're all so beautiful in their own ways....check 'em out at WDW site and see the virtual tour if that might help. The Coronado is so cool with the theming, POR, POFQ is so great with the water taxis, so that's different and really fun way to DTD..... :confused3

POFQ is our favorite hotel! We have stayed there more times then any other resort.

It is absolutly beautiful. It has a great theme. And I think it is pretty romantic.

We are staying at the CS in April for the first time.

I have stayed at the POR a few times, and I think the POFQ is SO much nicer!

I've never stayed at the POR but I have visited a few times. It is gorgeous and romantic. That is definetly next on our list.

I stayed at POFQ and remember enjoying it but I was 14 so...

Coronado, I also visited last trip. The grounds are beautiful but it seems very spread out. Meaning that after a long day at the parks the last thing I want to do is walk further to get to my room, or the food court. Like I said I visited, never stayed, so there could be a better and more convienent way to get around that I was unaware of. If anything, it is definetly worth a visit.

You might also want to look into WL or AKL, though they are deluxes they are the less expensive of the group. And sometimes you can snag a really good deal.

Good Luck deciding!

Haven't stayed at POR or POFQ, but visited them in December, 2004.

POFQ is part of POR and they share buses. POFQ has a more romantic feel, to me, anyway! POFQ is more compact in itself, although you will need to go to POR if you want full-service dining. Both resorts share a boat to DTD, if you enjoy nightlife.

CSR is terrific in its own way. If you're depending on WDW transportation and don't mind a quieter setting, this is a great resort. There are 4 bus stops and buses are not shared with other resorts, which is nice! It has a strange food court (works well, just strange!), a full service restaurant and a bar. The main pool has a children's play area called The Dig Site--I wanna be a kid again! Each group of buildings (Casitas, Ranchos and Cabanas) has a quiet pool with an adjacent laundry area.

It really just depends on the theme you prefer, and if you like the option of the boat to DTD.
