We have Hojo booked for 4 nights next week but we decided we are going to go to Knott's for one day after we do 3 days in DL. I called to extend our stay at Hojo for one more night but they are completely sold out :(

Knott's is only open til 6 pm. My question is: Should I stay near Knott's or find another hotel near DL for the last night? We have APs so we could finish the night off at DL after Knott's if we wanted.

Any hotels you would recommend for a one night stay?

I would probably book a refundable room near knots, and then call hojos every day to see if they have a cancellation. Hopefully they will and you can stay, easier than an extra move IMO.

We liked the Embassy Suites just down from Knotts and it was great having the evening reception and breakfast included. But if I had an AP I would probably stay near DL so I could run over there for a little while. I'm a little crazy like that though:goodvibes

The Embassy Suites is now Radisson. Will be making our first stay there later this month. Still has breakfast. Not going to Knotts this trip but Disneyland is pretty quick to get to/from and Hotwire had it for $70 which was far better than I could get anything around DLR for.

Did you get this where you don't know the name of the hotel until you pay? I am nervous to pay for a hotel that I don't know what it is. I am leaning towards booking a room near knott's that can be canceled if I can get one more night at Hojo, I really don't want to have to switch hotels just for one night.

Yes, I had to pay up front without knowing the name. However, it is generally very easy to determine what hotel it is before paying. The Radisson is the only suite hotel in the area along with the other amenities Hotwire had listed. Websites like betterbidding.com or biddingfortravel.com list the Hotwire and Priceline hotels. I pretty well knew what hotel I would be getting.

I too would prefer a hotel that could be cancelled but I won't pay rack rate for a hotel. The Radisson lists at $145. HOJO during our stay is $122. So $70 for a suite with breakfast is hard to beat.
