I hope that some of you will be able to help me out. I am planning a trip with my physics class and the science club (I'm a HS teacher) to Six flags and Disneyland. :grouphug: I am looking for hotels in Anaheim (walking distance to DL) that will take a large group that isn't too expensive and that doesn't have porches/patios on the rooms. rooms on indoor hallways are better. All the hotels I can think of have outside rooms/halls. What's my excuse for Disneyland? They have cool physics "classes" that teach how some of the rides work! I was so excited when I found this out! So any help from anyone whose done a large group trip (with teenagers??:dance3: ) to DL before would be awesome! :yay:

The Fairfield Inn and the Sheraton Park both have indoor hallways.

I'm not sure if Hojo's does or not? Anyone else know...:confused3 :confused3

I know that the Desert Inn and Suites can sleep large parties (10-12 ppl) and they do not have balconies or patios. But they do have exterior hallways. They only hotel that I have stayed at with a school group was the Anaheim Coast Hotel (not sure if that's still the name as it was a decade ago). I think that they had balconies though, but interoir corridors. What the chaparones did was once it was decided that everyone was to remian in their rooms they went and placed a sticker across the door jam (hall side). If the sticker was broken it meant that they had opened the door and were in trouble.

I don't think that all of the rooms at HoJo have balconies, but I'm not positive. However, they do ahve interior corridors and are fairly cheap. You could always ask for rooms in the back that are away from most people.

The Anaheim Coast is now the Sheraton Park.

Good to know. Thanks for the update :)
I've been looking up hotels and will start calling around for rates. Any other suggestions are great too!!

you should look at Hotel Menage's web site...Hotel Menage is the newest thing in the Anaheim/Disney area across the street from the freeway and depending on the time they have some great rates with great rooms.

Try the Embassy Suites. They have a buffet breakfast included that would suit everyone's tastes. It may be a little more expensive than you'd be looking for, but there were several large groups there when we stayed in December.

I actually thought of that, but I would have to add the cost of the shuttle (ART) into the cost of the trip...although for the breakfast it might be worth it :wizard:

All the motels on Harbor in walking distance have open corridors. Hojos Building 1 has indoor corridors, but those rooms have balconies.
Some people like the Anaheim Plaza for a cheap place to sleep. It's older, has adjoining rooms, very cheap, walking distance, some suites have micro and small fridge, but again, some rooms have balconies, and they all have open corridors. You may be able to request ground floor, and then you'd have an outdoor ground floor patio area instead of balcony. It also has an Olympic sized heated swiming pool and hot tub. The last time I stayed there was in 1997, so I couldn't tell you how it is now. It's a good neighbor hotel, so it should meet some sort of Disney standard.:)
HTH...
