I've been trying to decide where we can stay for our October trip to DLR and am not sure where we can stay with our family. While technically we are a family of 5, our kids will be sleeping in pack and plays or pea pods. They won't need an actual bed.
The Disney site won't let me check availability since it requires one adult per infant (kids will be 18 months for vacation). Any suggestions on where we could stay? We'd like to be near property and will have a car.

Thanks for any suggestions or advice.

People will say Hojo's. They have good prices and family suites. I prefer the sheraton but that is because I am usually just with one person and don't feel the need to be there when the rope drops. I have stayed at Hojo's with 5 kids and my daughter and it worked out very well.

DL Hotel, Grand Californian, HOJO, and Fairfield Inn come to mind.

Interesting that the Disney site won't let you check availability. I just booked a trip for five with one infant through Costco.com (which links into the Disney system) and was able to do it. From my experience kids less than 2 don't even show up on the vacation itinerary.

In any case, I'm staying at the Crowne Plaza and they allow 5 and will even provide a crib.

Almost all of the hotels allow five in their standard rooms. Off the top of my head, Candy Cane Inn allows four, but five in their deluxe rooms.

If you book more than one room you have to have one adult per room.

There error it gives is because we have more babies than adults. I'm sure it wouldn't be a huge deal if we just put 2 on the reservation and brought three, right? We'll be bringing their beds so it wouldn't really impact the hotel at all. I just don't want to give incorrect info and run into problems when we arrive.

Thanks for all the suggestions, time for more research :)

I wonder if it's just an issue specifically with babies/infants because surely, you aren't the only one going to DL with a greater than 1:1 ratio of child:adult.

In any case, I think you're right. No one will blink an eye if you show up with 3 kids instead of 2. My <2 year old son didn't even show up on our itinerary since he doesn't require a ticket.

for disney property hotels, the price is going to be the same if you have 2 babies or 3. So, to check availability and pricing, just put 2 in to the ressie system. Then once you get ready to book, phone and make the ressie over the phone so that the CM can add the 3rd baby.

Hi, we have triplets, too! They're now 12, but we TOTALLY understand the family of five/hotel issue.

We have always stayed either at the DL Hotel (with a day bed), or the GCH...they have rooms with either bunkbeds, a day bed, or NO extra bed (and give you a sleeping bag ?). We've only stayed at the bunkbeds or day bed.

I have had that kind of problem before with the DL website, but you should have no problem.
