My sister and her family are going to disney in the summer which is the best hotel for them since they have 2 adults and 3 kids. I'm sure they are looking at a value or moderate price range.

Thanks so much :)

We are a family of 5 and stayed at POR this past August and loved it! My kids really loved the bridges and the little lizards and rabbits they saw while walking around ! Since it is the sister resort to POFQ, you have the option of spending time over there and using their dragon slide pool! My kids thought this was great! We would stay there again with no hesitation.

A family of 5 is tough. Disney doesn't do 5 well. The only options for value resorts are 2 connecting rooms, or All-star Music has a family suite, but not at a traditional value price. Port of Orleans Riverside will sleep 5, but one kid needs to be small enough to sleep in a trundle bed.

If one of the children is under three and will be in a crib, they can stay in just about any moderate or value resort. POR is the only moderate that allows five per room otherwise and the fifth really needs to be a small child, as the fifth bed is a trundle. I believe the standard rooms at the values have a maximum capacity of four, but there are some family suites too. At the deluxe level, the standard rooms at the Poly have a daybed that converts into a bed for a fifth person.

The Family Suites at All Star Music run about $30-$40 more a night than a mod.

DH and I stayed in a Family Suite at All Star Music ( a value resort) in Sept. 2006.
We really enjoyed the Queen size bed, the kitchenette with the microwave, having a sofa and cushioned chair to sit on and relax after a day at the parks before retiring for the evening.

I thought the pullouts very comfortable.

They are designed so the back cushion and seat cushion of the pullout support the pullout. There is no metal bar to hurt the sleepers back.
