We are booked for April 14 thru the 21st. (meaning we have bought our tickets and airfare but no room yet) The current promotion goes thru the 17th but obviously not for our entire stay. I spoke with someone at Disney and they said that promos are usually back to back and whatever the next one would be would usually start that next day ie the 18th. I asked her when the next promo would usually come out and she said most likely January. Does this sound right? I know no one probably knows for sure but since I don't go very often and we used to always stay offsite I am not familiar with how this works. Just wondering if there was a typical timeframe that various promotions usually come out. TIA!!

You can book now BUT new promo won’t automatically be applied. You will need to call in or modify online AND there has to be availability in the category you booked for the new promotion to apply. Just because there is a discount released doesn’t mean it’s for all rooms and hotels- it is also subject to availability.

Often WDW promotions are based on check-in date and good for the length of stay. Though that may apply more to package deals than room-only discounts. If the current offer cannot be extended through your full stay, just be aware that unless an overlapping offer comes out you will need to do a split-stay to take advantage of both the current offer and a future one. You cannot have 2 different promotional rates on the same reservation.

Thanks all. I went ahead and booked the hotel for now and we will just keep checking. Anyone know when the next one would typically come out? The current one expires on April 17th. She said she thought the next one may come out in Jan?

Things are all jacked up with the typical patterns/dates this year with COVID, but here’s a great resource for historical discounts and when they were released. Looks like 4/1+ general public rates came out 1/6. Hope that helps!
