Hotel deals for Universal Hotels?

With the announcement yesterday of the new Buy 4/Get 3 free deal from Disney yesterday, I wonder if the Universal Hotels ever offer any great packages? We have an off-site place booked right now for our US/IOA trip in Feb, but I would love to be on-site, however for whatever reason, the last week of Feb is high season and the rates are just too darn high?

If the economy is dragging WDW down you can guarantee it will have a ripple effect so I would expect to see some offers from the Universal hotels. The nearby offsite hotels may not be much different, it depends on how the convention business holds up. Since many conventions are scheduled years in advance it may take a while for you to see any downward pressure there.
