Hotel confirmation emails

I received several emails this weekend from PBH and HRH then the following:

Our company handles email reservation confirmations for Portofino Bay Hotel and unfortunately you may have received an incorrect email earlier this weekend that appeared to be from the hotel. The subject line would be similar to this one and the email itself would have been blank. One of our systems accidentally tried to resend some old emails that had failed long ago.

Be assured that the error was completely inside our system, not the system at the hotel. We have taken additional steps to prevent errors like this from happening in the future. No data in either system was compromised in any way and your personal information is perfectly safe.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

I received the same blank emails and the email from Don Hay today. I figured that it was some goof up.

Be sure to call a few weeks before your trip and make sure your ressie is still on file. The HRH has a way of "losing" them, especially if you have a discount. Check your credit card statement each month to make sure your deposit hasn't been refunded. If it has, then your reservation has been "mysteriously" cancelled, but they have other rooms available at the higher rate.
Be sure to bring your reservation papers with you.

Their reservation system is whacked.
