Okay, so it's budget time. I am considering Motel 6. I was wondering if anyone has stayed at the Ramada Maingate in the Jacuzzi suite and if it's worth it? Thanks!

Ive never stayed at the Jacuzzi suite, but the ramada maingate is the hotel we useally stay at its pretty great because of its location to the parks, how ever as far as quality its pretty much regular motel quality.

You mean the Motel 6 Maingate?

Don't. I normally don't try to keep others away from hotels, but I do feel very strongly about this one.

We stayed there in 2007 when it was still a Red Roof Inn, and loved it. Based on that we decided to stay there on our arrival night 2008 before switching to DLH.

Big Mistake. The room was on the dirty side and seemed kind of worn. It was just doable for one night's stay. But the workers were really... chaotic would be putting it nicely.

They asked me if I wanted a ground floor room. I told them yes, that would be nice because we had been hauling around luggage all day. I was given a room on the second floor at the very end of the building without as much as a "sorry, it didn't work out." Okay, I can live with that. Was kind of odd though.

Thankfully that was all they did to us. We did spend about 15 to 20 minutes in line for checking in though because they had checked in people in already occupied rooms! At one point they seemed to have completely lost track which rooms were already occupied and which were free. One of them even had to run after the family who checked in before us because they had been assigned to an occupied room, and apparently the people booked in where in the room at the moment - at least that's what her coworker yelled after her.

I really was appalled.

My room mate and I had decided to go for DTD for dinner and decided to haul everything we could (cameras and everything that seemed worth stealing) with us because we did not feel safe. When we were in the room she even crammed our luggage in front of the door to make it as hard as possible to get in.

I would not stay there again.

Pass on Motel 6

All rooms have hard wood floors now or are being converted.

The floor is gritty and dirty because of the construction.
also the parking lot is filled with freight containers and it's hard to get a parking spot.

We stayed there when it was Red Roof and 3 other visits as Motel 6, but our June 09 stay was the last.

We try to plan around the Ent. rate at HoJo.

Grandpa treated us to Candy Cane in this July.
Wow! Dedicated shuttle and buffet breakfast.

Hope you find a great place & have a magical trip :wizard:

I have stayed at the Ramada and it was just okay.
Nothing special but nothing bad either.
The room was just okay, beds were okay and the bathroom was decent.
We stayed at the one next door to Carrows Restaurant.

I have never stayed at Motel 6 tho, but I wouldnt!
I have read bad reviews of Motel 6 in the past.
