I got my wife and kids to WDW for spring break, and notwithstanding the crowds, the experience was positive. I thought a little quick visit after school ends would be fun for my daughters. Booking has been an issue, but seems possilbe as standard rooms at Polynesian, or standards at Dolphin. Due to Starwood card and points, I have some chance for upgrade at Dolphin (maybe).

We liked the AKL, although because of its good restaurants, services get stressed at night. I admit to being lucky, but don't consider sharing one room with wife and two preteen girls to be the ideal family vacation. Therefore, will be going with adjoining rooms.

2 qustions:

1) Is it just plain crazy to go in June?
2) Hotel selection? Assume the cost is equal, which is preferable? Why, and by how much.
3) Is 4 nights enough? If we're just going to the parks, it may well be. Especially if the pools, watersports and other facilities are full.

Thank you for any help.

We went in early June last year. While it's warm, we had fun. Each night we had a thunderstorm which cooled things! I would go for the Dolphin. Great location. Boats are easy and quick to Epcot & MGM and if it does rain in the evenings you can see fireworks from the hotel. Plus, Grotto Pool is fantastic.

I had the same dilemma for July only my kids are a bit younger. If access to the MK is at all a priority for you then go with the Polynesian. That's what we chose even though it was over $400 more. I hate wasting my time on busses...It's worth it to pay for easy access to MK and EP - the parks we frequent!
