Hotel breakfast and character dining

Hi, we have booked breakfast at our hotel (sequoia lodge). Can you use the value of breakfast already paid to offset some of the cost of the character breakfast? We did this before with the half board plan and paid about £30 extra for a character breakfast, but not sure if you can do this with just the breakfast plan.
