Hotel availability/FD.. PLEASE HELP!

I just got a Free Dining pin for our dates, but was wondering... if I already have a hotel reservation, am I automatically guaranteed to stay in the same hotel? We just apply the pin? Or is it technically a new reservation you have to make and apply the pin?

Also, if I can get a quote on the WDW website for my hotel and dates does that mean there is still availability in my hotel for my dates?

My TA is out of the office until the beginning of August and I am scared there will be no rooms at Pop to book my FD deal!

Unfortunately, you are not guaranteed the same hotel. That hotel has to still have rooms available for that discount (i.e. your pin code). Also, if you check the website those rooms showing up as available may not be for use with your code since they only allot so many rooms for a pin code. Your other option is to call Disney first thing tomorrow morning and see what they say is available for your pin code, but then you wouldn't be going through a TA.

You are not guaranteed the same resort/room. WDW only releases so many FD rooms and they can get booked up fairly quickly. However if your resort/room is available, you can have the pin automatically applied to an existing reservation.

If you are checking WDW online you must use the Special Offers FD link at the bottom of the home page. If the hotel/dates are showing availability through this link, then yes, it usually is available for booking. Do not get a quote via the home page's general booking to check promotional rooms/rates unless you plan to pay rack rate. Also, a FD code (general public) and a FD pin (by invitation only) are different in that the FD code has more block-out dates...therefore, the website may or may not quote you correctly. Your best bet is to call CRO directly.

Yikes...if it were me, I would cancel that reservation and rebook through Disney directly. Waiting until Aug is too much of a gamble IMHO.
