Anyone have any ideas for a reasonably priced/clean hotel where we can park our car and spend the night before an early Disney flight? We have stayed in the past at the Sheraton located in the airport, which was great, but they want well over $200 for the night plus $17 per day parking if we are there over 7 days, which we will be.
Thanks!

While the Sheraton is the only hotel that is right at the airport, 21 hotels are within 5 miles of the airport according to hotels.com and 6 are less than a mile away and 12 less than 2 miles away. I've stayed at the Springhill Suites, Holiday Inn Express, and La Quinta in the past and all were clean, comfortable, and less than a mile from the airport. While a park and stay rate may be great if it's cheap, at BDL the long-term garage is $69 a week and it's attached to the terminal so it's also cheap and convenient:

Galaxy Self park is $39 a week (even cheaper with AAA) and is right across from the airport. Their companion company is Roncari Valet who will have your car warmed up and ready at pickup for less than $70 a week (even cheaper with AAA):

We usually park & fly before WDW. We will be staying at the Sheraton in Jan. because the room was a gift for our trip.

We normally stay at the Days Inn www.daysinnbradleyairport.com when we go because we usually go for at least 10 days and the Park, fly rate covers that many days. The rate is usually around $122.00 total for room, tax and the parking for 10 days. They have another rate as well for people who need to park even longer.

The Days Inn is very nice it was just redone a few years ago. It is right around the corner from the airport (you can see the planes landing from the lobby) it has a shuttle service and free continental breakfast.

Any questions please feel free to ask.

Peace.
Colleen

We have stayed at the Fairfield Inn. It is near the airport. I don't think they have a park and fly lot but they are reasonable.

We have stayed at the DaysInn the last 3 trips. Left our car their for 2 weeks. Hotel is fine, as well as their shuttle.I think last summer we paid $99 with our AAA discount. We used to stay at the Bradley Inn but it was sold and starting to show its age.

This is what I posted after our experience in October 2005:

Just wanted to let you know this if you fly out of Hartford - We flew out on 10/16, party of 8 with 2 cars. We had a Park, Sleep and Fly package booked with the Baymont Inn. (We have used these packages out of Providence before and always left our car right at the hotel and taken our keys with us.) We checked in early on Saturday, left for a wedding and came back at about 10:00 pm. I told the desk clerk that we had the airport package and asked where we should be parking. She said that as long as we were not against the building we would be OK. The next morning while getting ready to head over to the airport we were told that we had to move the cars to a parking lot next door, Piccollo Avistar, and leave the keys. We did so and went on our way. After returning to the lot at the end of our trip we discovered that one of the cars had been gone through and something taken out of it. An incident report was filed with the lot attendant and the Windsor Locks police were called. I asked the officer who responded if they had ever had any complaints with this lot and he hesitated before saying that yes they had and he would never leave his car there. I don't know what the outcome of the situation will be but I wanted to let you know about our experience. Thanks for reading.

Just be careful with where you choose.
