Hey everyone, my girlfriend and I are taking a vacation to Disneyland from Dec 28- Jan 4. I have found great advice on this forum and was hoping you guys could help me out with my hotel dilemma. We are both 20 years old so one of the key factors in our decision is money. As well we want to have a hotel within walking distance so we can take much needed afternoon breaks. The cheapest ones I could find were the Econo Lodge and Days Inn but looking at hotel reviews for those two have made me skeptical. Right now the frontrunner appears to be the Super 8 but I was wondering if that was walkable a few times a day. Price range at this point is around 80 dollars a night but would be willing to go as high as 100 for a nicer place. Thanks for all your help :)

Check to see if Hojo's offers the Entertainment Book Rate for your dates. You can stay there cheaper than $80/night and it is a great hotel within walking distance.

We usually stay at Desert Inn & Suites, the most I have paid there is $109, and that is with peak times and lat booking. We are going halloween weekend and our rate is $69/night and it is right across the street.

HTH!!

For Super 8 you're looking at an about 20 minutes walk, at least this is how long we needed.

Walkable in the morning definitely, walkable after park closing probably seeing you won't have kids with you. But I wouldn't walk back there for an afternoon break.

Have you checked the Anaheim Plaza? They're much closer and always seem to have rooms at around $ 69.

I stayed at the Super 8 last weekend. Walked back during the day and had no problems. Plus it was nice to have Subway right there on the corner for lunch. Now you will also have all of the Garden Walk places next door for more options. I thought it was great and already booked there for July.
