Hotel advice please

Sorry for another hotels post! I just can't decide where we should stay. We are a family of 4 (kids will be 7 and 12) traveling from the UK, August next year.

I have booked the BW Plus Park Place for 5 nights, it's fully cancellable at the moment so I'm still looking.
Tropicana and Grand Legacy are also a similar price too. Where would you choose?
We would like to be close to the parks. Don't mind motel style. Probably won't use the pool. Free breakfast is a plus and cheap parking.

BW Park Place Inn for me, you cannot beat the proximity to the parks and no other hotel/motel is closer to Disneyland. It’s also a fine motel in its own right with good rooms, 24hr reception and good facilities. The pool isn’t the best or most attractive been surrounded by high walls but it isn’t a deal breaker for me.
Tropicana is only next door and some really like it but I’m not a fan. Grand Legacy is just OK imo.
I’d stick with BWPPI.

Candy Cane Inn has free parking and breakfast. It's not far away, but has a free shuttle. Note, it's currently under refurbishment and no one knows the opening date, but theoretically it shouldbe well open by then.

We always stay at BWPPI for the proximity to the parks and breakfast, and I would recommend it.

I had originally planned on the Candy Cane and had been following their refurb on Facebook, but their rates are coming up more expensive than the others. I think for less walking for the kids, I will stick with BW PPI.

I think your current choice is the best! I'm not sure if you have been before, but the BWPPI is literally the closest you get. It's closer than the on-site hotels.

The BW is going to be the closest, so I'd go with that if they have the room type you want. They get great reviews, too.

We love BW Plus Anaheim Inn. We stayed in their family suite in June (2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, minifridge). They have a nice hot breakfast, clean pool, great customer service. The walk was 2 minutes from our hotel room to the Disneyland crosswalk.
