The previews look pretty dumb, but I've heard it's better than you'd think.

DH and I are going on a date tonight :woohoo: (I *think* I remember what those are!) and I want to see something light and silly. Any opinions on this one?

I would like to suggest "date night" if you have not already seen it! It was awesome and it seems like a good fit since that is what you will be doing!:woohoo:

I don't think it looks dumb. I really want to see it.

My oldest and my brother in law went. They both liked it. They also went to Zombieland, oldest liked it, BiL didn't. Not sure if that is a good gauge for you. They both seem to be quirky, off-beat movies.

My husband and I chose this for a date night and both enjoyed it more than we thought we would. The entire movie isn't hysterical but there were definitely some LOL moments.

I was wondering the same thing. If it was so bad that it was actually good. I like stupid comedies sometimes.
On a sidenote, I hated Zombieland! It had some funny parts but zero plot. It just seemed to sudddenly end. Shaun of the Dead is way better.

If you can handle raunchy comedy and grew up in the 80's you'll love it!

My sister saw it and loved it. She said that since we grew up in the 80's I would love it too. It will have to wait for Netflix. Movies at the theater are too expensive!

I agree!! I didn't grow up in the 80's (was born in 87) but I have always listened to 80's music with my cousin and am familiar with the trends and stuff so I loved it! The group of 15 year old boys in front of us were totally clueless though. They were also embarrassed when we were jamming and singing the songs as we were leaving the theater and trying to get them to join in. :rotfl:

DH and I are in our early 40s and both loved it. I think it's because of the reminder of how little technology we had back then, and how loose the whole ex/drugs/rock n roll lifestyle was! (And the clothing styles are so accurate, it's a little scary:scared1:.)

Just light hearted fluff, but fun!
Terri

I'm dying to see it!! :lmao: If for nothing but the joke about Michael Jackson!! :happytv:
