We just got back from our vacation this week, and the excitement from islands of adventure is still in the air. First of all, if you like the simulator rides, try spider man. If simulation rides are all that you'll go on, stick with the studios, as that's mostly shows. For those who like the rollercoasters, try hitting the Hulk right away. We got on it at ten o clock and the express passes were already done for the day, but if you want to see spiderman, do that and then the Hulk. Now if you enjoy the Hulk, you'll most likely LOVE dueling dragons. Ice (the blue one) is my personal favorite, they may look the same, but they are not. Your feet hang down in this ride, so people wearing flip flops will have to put them behind their back. Plus, every time that we hit that ride, it was only about a ten minute wait for both dragons, so I guess you can hit this one anytime.
Sinbad's 8th voyage, a stunt show, was pretty good, but dueling dragons is right next door, so I would avoid trying to get on the dragons right after a sinbad show lets out. Try waiting until one starts, and that's where everyone is. Also note, if you want to get wet, you'll want to be as close to the front and as far to the right as you can get. Not all the way to the wall, but somewhere around where the net and the little platform with a pole is.
Dudley do right's ripsaw falls is a good way to get wet, especially if you're in the front and the second seat. It's supposed to be the steeppest, highest flume ride hill in the country, and it sure does get ya soaked!! Also note that the Jurrassic park River Adventure will get you pretty wet as well, though it might frighten children under the age of eight. I'm almost thirteen, and I think that the raptors would be a little to much for the little ones, in my personal oppinion.
Also note that the dueling dragons say they only close the ride when it starts to thunder and lightning, not just in the rain, yet they closed the ride when it was only raining while we were there. There wasn't ANY thunder or lightning.
