Hot pins

I figured I’d start a thread where we could list some of the new, hot pins from time to time. And any background info into why they’re hot would be great too. I’ll start with the DVC Stitch pin. These are selling in the $50 range. This is the newest in the Wanna Know a Secret series. From what I understand, you can only get these on the Disney Cruises. Can anyone confirm this?

Wouldn't you know it. I have tried to limit my collecting to DVC pins and it figures that one of that series is a hot pin.

And it's super hard to find. I sold a few myself & check Ebay's current & completed auctions from time to time out of curiosity. There are hardly any of them ever out there.

We got one during our cruise although it took lots and lots of begging...lol

the stitch DVC pins will be available in all the DVC booths at WDW as soon as the other ones are out of stock .... so you might consider selling it now when it is hot and trade for one later this year ...

Just returned from the Wonder and got 2 from the rep. Dh and I went up to the DVC desk together and I asked for 1 - which the rep gave to me. Dh went back later and asked for 1 but the rep said she had already given 1 to us. The last night, we sent my mom to the desk and she was also given 1. Dh has already traded the extra one away!!

Anyone have any other hot pins they'd like to mention? It looks like there are several Pirates pins at WDW either out or soon-to-be because of the movie, which I can't wait for! Any of these going to be the next big thing?

We traded a rep for one at Old Key West Resort during our trip in June. We checked every rep we saw for days and then there it was on the one in the Resort we were staying in. Keep looking you may get lucky like we did.

Ok, let's move off the Stitch pins. Any other hot pins out there that anyone is aware of?

Please indulge just one last Stitch post - I managed to trade for one at one of the DVC kiosks in the Animal Kingdom this past week. I guess that the pin fairies were smiling down on me since I posted something on this thread just prior to my trip.

I sure wish I had one of those DVC pins from the opening of Vero Beach. Or perhaps a Jail Scene pin.
