It must be someone else's cheese, because it's certainly not yo' cheese.

Personally, I don't get how someone got scalded by said cheese. Pretty much every time I've seen the "cheese product" it seems like it's cold and like tar.

It was a four-year old, and he burned his upper lip.

And I have two further comments.

One is what does the child look like now, that almost a year has passed. The complaint says there is a photo taken at the time; is there any actually scarring and/or disfigurement?

And did they seek medical attention; they keep very accurate records at both First Aid and the Reedy Creek Emergency Services.

No the next lawsuit is going to be a parent claiming that the Ice cream was not cold enough that it melted to fast in the hot 90 degree sun and on thop of that they are suing for ruining her new cinderella delux dress that was very expensive!

Bring on the million dolar lawsuit! Sorry but people like this burns me up!

I'm not sure of this one... Really it comes down to if Disney was serving cheese at above normal temperatures for other places and if they knew that it was hot enough to cause more severe damage (if it even did).

Someone mentioned the McDonalds law suit. That one was legitimate, they proved that McDonalds knew they were serving much hotter then average coffee, they also had a study on file that found that the difference was enough to go from split coffee causing burns in something like 10 seconds (by which time any normal person would have wiped it off) to less then 1 even though clothing.

This study also found that the price to change all the devices and that they could no longer claim to have the hottest coffee around was worth the little bits of money that people would get if they sued since McDonalds would settle out of court and people would take a low enough amount. This is why when the case went all the way to court the jury choose to award punitive damages to make the amount high enough for McDonalds to care. I think the amount was the total average McDonalds revenue from coffee in America for one day.

Edited to add: This could be one of two things, either someone that doesn't know the above and thinks they will get a major pay day or Disney could actually have messed up here, although if they did it will be hard to prove.

This lawsuit is so ridiculous on so many levels. Sure they will sue disney cuz the nacho cheese burned their child..but they didn't think twice about giving their kid a food that is loaded with calories, preservatives, additives, chemicals etc...everyone is such a hypocrite I'm seriously so over it. Instead of wasting your time suing companies for nonsense like this do something constructive like volunteer or go to the courts to sue the major food companies of this country about the chemicals, preservatives, dyes and overall garbage that they do put in our foods that leads to so many of the health problems all americans have today.
