Hubby and I arrive tomorrow around 10am for a brief visit before boarding the Disney Wonder on Sunday. We are from Texas and very accustomed to the heat, but is it really approaching 100 or so out there right now? WOW! What does that feel like in Southern California compared to my Dallas?
I probably shouldn't laugh, but whenever I read people talking about southern California being HOT, I do anyway. I'm from far northern California, where 106 is usually a cooling trend. I've gone when people are complaining about the heat and just loved it.
If you're used to the heat and humidity in Texas, it will be a bit different in CA. There is no real humidity like you're used to. When people say it's soooo humid in CA, that means it's probably still less than 50% humidity. It's definitely a dry heat, but still can cause issues so remember to hydrate and wear sunscreen.
Also, remember to bring a jacket for the evenings. As warm as it is during the day, it cools off quickly in the evening. Per the recent weather it looks like it's staying in the 70s overnight, but I've been there when it goes from 90 during the day to the 50s in the evening and I freeze.
Now that I've moved to Washington I wonder how long it will take before I'm complaining about the 90 degree heat at Disney myself?
