Hot grease just splattered in my eye

Thankfully I was wearing my contacts and it seemed to just hit the lens. I'm still a bit freaked out though, my eye is bothering me a little but I'm not sure if it's just from me rubbing it, poking it, etc to see how it looks or if maybe there's some grease in my eye.

Guess I'll have to watch it and see how it is in the morning. This ever happen to anyone else?

You did take the contact out and wash it with the solution immediately, correct? If so, I wouldn't worry about it unless it's still bothering you in the morning.

Yep, I took it right out and wore my glasses for a bit. I then popped the lens back in and it seemed fine. My eye just feels a little dried out or something, probably from me rubbing it. Plus, it must have some residue in it.

I'll be keeping an eye on it.

Been there done that one. My eye was just fine the next morning, though I don't wear contacts.
