I was just reading the Michael's cart sale thread and some people mentioned wanting to lose weight before the August meet. I was :rotfl2: when I read that! I realized today that I only have about 17 weeks to lose weight before I meet you guys:eek: . Should we have a thread dedicated to our efforts to look "hot and what not" by August 23?!? I could sure use the support!
 
Okay! I'm in.

I lost a lot of the poundage I wanted when I was sick. But I still have those pesky few and totally need to tone the loose baby no more belly. After six years you would think it would go back in place already. :rotfl2:


So how do we do this. I've not read the weight loss helper board.
 
Oh, and who is making the design to put on our shirts?

I need to think of a design. Maybe we can enlist our T-shirt counter parts for some inspiration.

I'm so in, I have no idea how to start besides posting our daily food journals, exercise, and such like we do on our things to do thread. I can post a link to this thread in the SDV sticky.

my first step, no more McDonalds or KFC (that will kill me, either way) I love KFC! And I need to lay off the chocolate!
 

OK, do we want to do a daily check in? We can abbreviate it HAWN (Hot and What Not) :). I'm going to go back to counting my WW points. I strayed from points about a year ago and I can SO see the negative effects of that! We can also share our "non scale victories"....things like skipping dessert at a buffet, or having a healthy meal instead of the dreaded fast food.

This could be fun....and we'll be a group of hot mamas at the breakfast on August 23!! I have a dress I want to wear that day that I couldn't wear at this moment without a girdle:).

OMG I love th KFC bowls!!! it is one of my fav's. and chocolate??? oh goodness. i ALWAYS have a piece of chocolate with me at all times!!!!!

i'm sorry, but i do love those 2 things!!!!!!!

i'm also jealous that i'm not going....:upsidedow but looking at my life now, i'm glad that i did not sign up because i would never be able to do it now. oh well, maybe next time. i'll live through all of you!!!!
 
I don't own a scale.....I'm obsessive and if I owned one, I'd be on it every day, probably more than once. I weigh in at WW at least once a month so I don't have to pay a missed meeting fee, but I think I am going back to weekly weigh ins while we do this. How about we post our progress the day we weigh in, since it may differ for each of us?

Monday is an excellent choice of weigh in day, BTW. Anticipating getting on the scale helps keep you in line over the weekend, which can be more challenging than weekdays for some people.

Mom is more important then a scrap trip. Take care of yours first, we'll plan for next year! :hug:

Sounds like a plan posting progress. I might post every night just to keep myself in line.
Looks like we will have great weather all week so I'm going to hit the track every morning around 11, still to cold in the morning for DD.

ETA I will be in NJ next week but plan to at least walk the neighborhood at some point during the day. We will be packing up 2 houses though so that will be a work out in itself.

Why can't you come over to the Beach Club and do the character breakfast with us? I'm ditching the boys for the morning & Kim and I are heading over from WL.

I was thinking lime green, dark green, and black tie die t-shirts with the words "cut out" of a black Mickey head. But that is my 80-90's innerchild coming out to play.

I'm staring at 40 in August and I guess there aren't any more babies in my future either. So this belly has got to go. 'course even when I was a skinny minnie 115 I still had a pooch. I think that is way I'm built. Which means Alzheimers is in my future, so says the latest medical findings.:sad2:

I guess there is no way around exercise this time if I want the belly gone. Are crunches or full sit ups the best way to go?
 
get the balance ball with the DVD at Target. The abs work out is awesome!!!!

I alternate full extension sit ups to crunches, twist crunches, scissors, etc.

Thanks. I'll be sending my DH to Target tomorrow.

I have my water bottles in the frig getting cold for tomorrow. Going grocery shopping tomorrow. Guess it is time to buy the fresh veggies for snacking on. No more chocolate (after I finish my last Dove bar from my SS), no more cookies, no more 100 calorie pack here, 100 calorie pack there, (hey, they are only 100 calories - empty calories - but that was my thought process).

So do we post our starting weight here tomorrow and our goal?
 
Make sure DH gets the right ball for your height, mine is purple cause I'm short. It was in a rectangular box with a full body workout DVD.

I have my water bottles set, I starting buying Voss water which they sell in the Norway pavilion and finally started carrying at Stop and Shop.

We can post goals, acheivements, pounds, what ever you want here.
I'm going to look at the WISHES forum to see how it's done there.

And I need to run up and make the kids beds, so they don't have to sleep in sleeping bags again. LOL
