Does anyone know which of the Orlando air balloon companies do flights over Disney and if so - what do you think of them? Good/not so good points?

How much time do you really get to fly over the Disney parks?

Many thanks! :)

 :welcome: to the Dis!

I'm from sunny Scotland - well, at least the sun is shining today!

We flew with Orange Blossom Balloons back in 2004 and absolutely loved it. The one thing to remember is that as balloons are powered by the wind, there can be no gaurantees as to where you will actually be flying over before you set off. However, your pilot will let you see a good cross-section of the Orlando area on your flight. :thumbsup2 We are planning on doing another flight when we visit next April now that our daughter is old enough to come with us. :goodvibes

WDW generally has "no fly" restrictions over it which means you won't actually be flying directly over the parks. That said, you will probably still be able to get a reasonable view of at least one of the parks and/or some of the resorts. :) We got an aerial view of the All Star Resorts, Disney's Wide World of Sports and Epcot on our flight. :cloud9:

Hope that helps.

That's great info thank you so much!

Yes it's sunny in Sheffield too, thanks for the welcome :goodvibes

There are several balloon companies. We see them all the time in the morning over Celebration. Our kids gave us a trip with a company called Bob's Balloons and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Two things to keep in mind. You go up very, very early in the morning AND you go which way the wind blows. On our trip we did no go any where near Disney property. We still enjoyed it but if you're counting on floating over the parks......

On our trip in septenber we went with orlando hot air ballon rides. They were really good and although we didn't fly right over disney we could see epcot ball and mount everest in AK. we could also see swan and dolphin hotels. In the very far distance we could see cinderellas castle but it was so far away we couldn't get ant photos. We did get good photos of Epcot ball though.
Overall it was a great experience and we also saw alot of florida wildlife. The only thing was we had a very bumpy landing which scared DD4 but older DS'S 11 and 7 thought that that was the best part. We were up in the air for about 1 1/2 hours and it passed so quick
