Hot Air Balloon pics

I went to a local Hot Air Balloon festival this weekend and took some pictures. Here are a few.

Now to tie this to Orlando. Look at one of the trailers coming in to set up.

I think their balloon is the one with red and white strips and stars on top.

Finally here is one from the nighttime glow. Most of them were kind of blurry because I was too lazy to carry the tripod. But this one is OK.

Awesome pics! I wish I could take pictures like that! I just got a new camera Sat and have not been happy with the clarity. Would you tell me how you did this, please? Do you have a professional setup?

The event was Freedom Weekend Aloft in Simpsonville, SC. It has moved around from Greenville to Anderson and now Simpsonville for the last 2 years. This is my first time going but I think I will go again next year. The balloons fly Saturday, Sunday and Monday of Memorial weekend. It used to be July 4 weekend but the weather was much stormier and they had problems flying a lot and it was much hotter weather. They moved it to this weekend and I think it is better.

I have a Nikon D40 which is a low end DSLR. I really have enjoyed it but have a lot to learn. We bought it in September last year.
