Hostile takeover bid for Disney!

Wow! I'm not sure what the effects will be, but something to keep a close eye on!

I looked thru the Comcast presentation on this and there were 2 interesting points: basically empower the animation department to product more classics like The Little Mermaid and Lion King, and restore the magic and innovation to the theme parks.

My concern is the value of the brand would become diluted with non-Disney content. I have visions of Rug Rats in Disney parades. (I have no clue if Rug Rats is a Comcast property or not, but hopefully my point is clear.)

Regardless, I sold my DIS stock today. I couldn't resist the profit. Will buy back if/when this and the price settle down.

Even tho Comcast may own rights to a station/network, they don't own the rights to particular characters...no Power Rangers at Disney. Comcast has a history of not causing major upheavals in companies they buy out. If the takeover was to go thru, we would probably not see any changes at all in the parks or cruises. No "Comcast World" or "Comcast Magic"s out there!!
