Hose Water

Actually I use that Clorox spray bleach stuff that comes in the blue bottle (sorry forgot the name of it)

For the sake of accuracy, I wanted to add that I have never seen a black hose at any FW campsite. The hose provided at the site is a common, green, garden hose. TCD

I wonder if it has something to do with the level of site. partial hook up vs something like full or premium. Because there have only been black hoses at the sites we've been at. Granted, we've only stayed at partial hook ups, but i've only seen black hoses.

But trust me when I say I will be buying a hose before we go next month!!!

The black hose is the stinky slinky that goes from the sewage discharge on the RV to the in-ground sewage to dump the waste. What you see at FW is nothing more than a garden/water hose with the end cut off.

OH - okay!! So, I'm okay:sick:!!! When everyone was talking about the black hose, that is what i thought they meant - the water hose. So it is safe for me to use the water hose there?! PHEW!!! I was scared for a minute, or an hour...or actual days that i lost sleep thinking of how many times we use that hose!!!!! I kept telling my friends, " WE CAN"T USE THE WATER HOSE ANYMORE!!!". i feel sooooo much better now!

Thank you, Thank you for clearing that up for me!

No, I meant to say that you should not use the fresh water hose at the site, especially a non-partial site. These hoses are not there for drinking water, they are there for site clean-up and emergency use. I have seen them used for very non-sanitary purposes, and I would not want to consume the water that comes out of it. I highly recommend buying a sanitary drinking hose (usually white in the camping supplies department).

Be safe
:santa:
