First let me say that I admire all you campers! :thumbsup2 Me, I'm not a camper. I think that it goes back to when I was a little girl, my father taking me camping, and me ending up crying to go home because, "there aren't any toilets out here?!"
We are headed to WDW and have two horse loving daughters. I had read that you can tour the stables and meet some of the hard working, Disney horses. Is this true? The girls ride at home, so they aren't looking for a trail ride, as it might be a little boring for them. But getting to meet Disney horses is like meeting Mickey himself, in their minds.
We wanted to do Hoop Dee Doo and thought that we might make a half day of walking around FW, spending time at the stable, and doing HDD at night. Is this doable?

plucky,

Luckycharm is correct - you can do this!

The horses are in the barn down near Pioneer Hall at the Tri-Circle-D ranch which is to the left of Pioneer Hall where the HDDR is.

Personally, the best time to see the horses at the TCD is in the morning when they typically get a bath, get shod, etc. The horses there pull the trolley on Main Street USA, work the Cinderella float in the MK parade, give the carriage rides in the evenings at the Fort, and more.

But any time you can come by and see the horses would work.
