When we visit again next year we are thinking of going horse riding (SEEMS LIKE A GOOD IDEA!!!!) as something different to do, you know when in Rome etc.

I know there is a stable on Poinciana Boulavard and was wondering if:

a. The rides are worth the money.
b. Are they suitable for non-riders as we are all complete novices who have never sat on a horse.

Any info much appreciated.

Hi there, if you are non riders Disney does a trail ride from Fort Wilderness where you basically walk through the countryside, The Grand Cypress Resort has a BHS (British horse Society) approved riding centre where you can ride english or western, this is very close to Disney in Lake Buena Vista, I dont know much about the Poinciana one except we tried to find it once and got lost!
If I were you I would do either of the 2 I've mentioned as they get a good name.
PS I'm a riding instructor, and I would do the western ride at Grand Cypress in a minute cos I've never ridden western.

Thanks Scotty,

Much appreciated. We were only going to use the stables on Poincina as its near to the Villa we've rented. I'll probablt bow to your experience and try one of the others, thats if the kida don't get cold feet first!
