Horse Landau Coach pics??

I love the Landau Carraige  as i think its got a very vintage look to it, very elegant. It looks even more striking when being pulled by such a large horse:cutie: .

My df asked me if i wanted Cindys coach but after seeing the price i just could nt justify it, i can see why so many brides use it though as it is stunning. I think the Landau fits more with our wedding plus i think it looks just as stunning as Cindys plus its the bit cheaper too :thumbsup2

I know still $1700 is considered pricey but to me it ll be worth every penny as i will get so much pleasure in arriving to my wedding in such an amazing way :lovestruc

I know, it really is beautiful isn't it?

Eeek will have to wait and see, I already said no video and we have that now and no photography for our at home reception yet now I'm going to start looking into that.
At home cake will be the next thing, do we need it? Probably :rotfl:

So do the groomsmen, groom, mums, guests etc get themselves to SBP, and then bride and dad arrive in the landau? What about 2 bridesmaids, is there room for them? looks like there may be on the opposite side.
Who is the additional guy sat on the top in your last photo? Where did he come from?! Is that your driver in all the other piccies? Did you choose what colours he wore or is it just standard?

Here are a few more pics...PLEASE let me know if you are sick of them!! ::yes:: Because I really don't want to hijack your thread, Feline...:goodvibes

Here's our cake with the standard topper:

This is a pic of our fantastic view of the MK from the Napa Room in the Contemporary. :cloud9:

Cuppie Cake that is the most delicious looking cake i've ever seen. Can you tell i'm a chocoholic?!

What filling did you have with it? Is this a standard cake? :thumbsup2

yay more pics :cool1:, loving them :thumbsup2

What a shame it rained, i bet you both were gutted you could nt have pics on the beach. Still your pics in the Boardwalk were beautiful:cutie: , who did you use for photography??

We re using Randy Chapman so im chuffed to bits that we managed to book him :woohoo: as i know how in demand he is

Ooohhhhh pure chocolate cake, now that must of tasted soooo good. Its making me so hungry just looking at it

Not sure if my answer will help but here goes;) , my df will be getting to Boardwalk from Poly via limo. Hopefully after reception pics etc we ll both get to ride back in carriage together to YC. My mum will be riding in the carriage with me on the way to ceremony

I don't think you'll regret a single penny! But I am a bit biased, of course! :goodvibes And I forgot to tell you this before, but the only reason the top is on the carriage is because it was supposed to rain (which it did!) You can definitely have the carriage without the top if you want to, which is so pretty!

And I agree--Cinderella's coach is absolutely breathtaking, but we couldn't get it at SBP, and like you said, the landau was just so "us." :cutie: And just so beautiful...:cloud9:

Well, we could have had room for more people in the coach, but with my dress and knee room, it would have been a very tight fit!

There are two men that operate the carriage--the driver and the "footman," who helps you in and out of the carriage. But when you are moving, they both sit atop and "drive." I did not have any option of selecting what they wore, but I never asked. They looked wonderful in the long-tailed tuxes they wore--very handsome and elegant, imo. :goodvibes

As for my husband, officiant (who came down with us for the wedding as he is a very close family friend,) and the groomsman, they were all walked down to SBP by the wedding coordinator. Then she came back (I believe--I was busy having pictures taken!!) and got our guests, and she walked them down to SBP.

That was when we were getting the girls' flowers, taking pics with the carriage and with my bridesmaids, and then my maids walked down to SBP while my dad and I were loading into the carriage and taking some pics.

And I know exactly what you mean about budgeting for your at-home reception. As much as we tried, it just ended up getting out of control!! But we had an absolute and total blast!!::yes:: It was so great to get to celebrate with the friends who weren't able to come to Disney.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! :cloud9:

It was considered a standard cake, but the "standard" white cake that automatically came with the package was not my style, so my wedding coordinator and I brainstormed and came up with this. You just have to make sure the bakery that's making your cake will do it for you with either no upgrade, or a very minimal one.

And don't worry--the cake did not disappoint!! It was absolutely as delicious as it looked--better actually!! :goodvibes It was chocolate cake with raspberry filling. Yum, yum, YUM!!

Thank you!! It was such a fun and dreamy day! But, to be honest, we were VERY disappointed that we couldn't have pics on the beach. But we were just so happy to be married that it didn't seem to bother us too much that day!! :lovestruc But now that it's done, I really wish we'd have been able to get beach pics, since I had dreamed about them for years and years...

And that is SO great that you are using Randy! We tried to book him, but he wasn't available. We used a Disney photographer who we really liked. Randy's work is just amazing--especially his beach pics, which it sounds like you're planning on having done!! :goodvibes

Has anyone recently used the horse carriage and have pictures to share? :woohoo:

Do you know the cost for 2009? Thanks.:thumbsup2

Oh, Feline...you really won't regret it. The Landau Coach really is a fantastic addition to your day! Enjoy every minute of it!! My dad always says he wouldn't change those moments in the coach for the world--and, neither would I. :-) :bride: Never. Love it!!

Elle i think seeing your pics was all the confirmation i needed that choosing the Landau Coach was the right transport for me :thumbsup2 . Your pics are so stunning :lovestruc .
Can i ask where did the the coach pick you up?

We re staying at the poly so i have to use the limo to drop me off over at Yacht Club which is where im then picking up the Coach.

I ve been told by Karen my WP that the coach will wait at SBP during our ceremony/ reception etc so we can have pics taken with it afterwards. Was this the case for you? & if so did it just stay by the entrance to SBP or was the horse taken elsewhere? I just figured it will be a very long time for a poor horse to stand still in such intense heat.

Sorry for all the q's ;) , im just trying to get everything planned out as much as possible in my head

i loved having the coach, its just different from cindys carriage and is not used alot compared to the coach, we had some great pics with it so you wont regret it

Silly Question but do they allow you to stroke the horse?? I promise i have a reason for what sounds a strange Q:thumbsup2

Im a massive animal lover, when we were in MK in Oct they had a horse & carriage at the bottom of Main Street. No one was crowding a round the horse so i made a bee line towards him to give him a stroke. The cm near by had fifty fits saying how hes not allowed to be stroked. I only wanted to give him a little pat, she really burst my bubble:guilty:

I would at least want to give him/her a stroke, i could nt have a horse take me to my wedding & not get close to it.

I don't know about when you have them for a wedding, but I have heard that Disney treats its horses in a similar way as one would service animals while they are actually working, so that they don't allow anyone to touch or interact with them, since they are supposed to be in a working mentality, and the only place you can really pet them is at their stables.... I wouldn't be surprised if the same rules apply to the horses pulling wedding carriages?

Hi, Feline! Thank you so much for the compliments--you really are so sweet! :lovestruc

Well, the coach picked me and my dad up in the large grassy area at the Boardwalk, since that's where we stayed and got ready. During the ceremony, I believe the carriage just stayed put at SBP (I wasn't really watching for the horse right about then :goodvibes ,) and then after the cake/champagne we took a lap around the entire boardwalk. In the pouring rain. Naturally, the rain stopped as soon as the carriage dropped us off back at the Boardwalk--he pulled right up to the staircase at the back of the resort.

As for petting the horse, I truly can't remember. Our horse's name was Ike, and was an absolute beauty.

I hope your planning is still going wonderfully!
