Has anyone ever taken this? What is your opinion? Any info. would be appreciated. We have 5 in our family, will we all fit?

Thanks!!!

Here's some info from allearsnet.com:

Take an evening horse and carriage ride through the French Quarter and Riverside regions of Disney's Port Orleans Resort. The 30-minute carriage rides start in front of Boatwright's Dining Hall nightly. The first ride departs at 6 p.m., and the last ride departs at 9:30 p.m. Each carriage can accommodate as many as four adults or two adults and two or three children. Each ride costs $30 including tax. Cash and Walt Disney World resort guest room charges will be accepted. Early reservations are recommended, make them at the Riverside Marina near the main building. Carriage rides may be canceled due to inclement weather.

We did the carriage ride earlier this month. I think you can fit 5 people in there ok as long as your kids aren't too big and can sit 3 in a row. Then you and DH can sit on the other side of the seat. When we went, it started pouring down rain less than 2 minutes after our ride started. It was still fun, but we were a little cold and wet. The driver had the raingear on the carriage, but a lot of rain still blew in. I think we would have enjoyed it more if we had better weather.

Thanks for the info.

Has anyone out there done this and what are your opinions?

My husb and I did the carriage ride in Feb. It was a very pleasant and relaxing experience. We've never stayed at PO, so it was really nice to get the tour of the resort. The grounds are beautiful! To be honest though, I don't think it was anything our kids would have enjoyed. Although depending upon their age, they might think a horse pulled carriage ride is pretty neat.

We did it in June with our 3 kids. (9,6,2). We all really enjoyed it. The 2 yo got a little bored at the end but she loved watching the horse. For the price, it is definitely worth it. I just love that clip-clop of the horse.

Did This Last May. Liked It So Much We Will Probably Do It Twice Next Time. Don't Forget To Tip The Driver.
