I was just looking at pictures of Disneyland taken the beging of November. What i noticed... walls walls everywhere!!! Please oh Please tell me they will be gone for out christmas trip.... we are going to be there on the 26...

The walkway between the Matterhorn and the old sub lagoon is walled-off completely...

The Tiki Room is shorouded for a MUCH NEEDED rehab... Some small corners of the castle are covered, but you can't tell unless you look really hard...(your pictures will turn out beautiful!).

That's all I can remember...it's been sooooooooo long (last Sunday...)

There is ongoing work on Main Street, and it is possible (embarassed to say that I can't remember) that one or two buildings may be covered, but still accessible.....

The Christmas decorations are up and they are really beautiful!!!!!!!!!!

Don't forget to watch the fireworks from Main Street, closer to the castle, but still on the street in front of the shops...the lighting and snow effects there after the fireworks are perfect! "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas...."

We have been calling Dl "tarpland" for a while now.....actually it is much better than it was. However there will be something under rehab from now till May 05 I am sure. It is exciting to see the "after" effects! Dl is shining !

Looks like Matterhorn opens back up on Nov. 24th. We were there last weekend and the castle looked beautiful! There is still some scaffolding on the sides but its not covered from the front anymore. The Matterhorn Mountain looks normal (when we were there in September it looked all torn up). I didn't ride the Monorail any so I couldn't see what the sidewalk behind the wall looks like. The waiting line area is all walled off but you don't really notice it too much. As far as the rest of the park, the holiday decorations were so pretty I didn't notice anything else! You are going to have a great time!

Matterhorn is scheduled to be open during your trip. I am confident that Disney will do everything in their power to have it ready during that time. It is a major weekend for them and it's a major walkway / thoroughfare in the park.
There was an update on Miceage today that had some stunning photos of the castle after it's rehab. One of the pictures, I tohught was computer generated for a second. LOL
While it definately sucks having walls up and areas of the park closed, it's all for the greater good.

I was there last night and you can't get from Autopia to Small World without going to the castle. I'm not sure if that wall is coming down before Thanksgiving (ETA for return of Matterhorn), but unless it's to block the view of an empty lagoon, they should be down by Christmas. As for the walls in Adventureland at least by the Tiki Room, they'll be around until early next year. MousePlanet seems to be doing a very good job tracking the downtime schedules.

BTW: Be sure to see Small World Christmas, Haunted Mansion Christmas and the Fireworks Show, they are all quite magical.
