Ok, as we are coming down on the last month of planning, I will begin to ask a lot of annoying tourist (American) questions.

The one of this day is...

Our hotel (non-Disney) in the Latin Quarter, states it does not have air conditioning. Will it have a heater? We aren't used to the cold air, and we need a heater!

Please help!

It should have a heater, Europe isn't the third world you know!!!

The Latin Quarter is a beautiful part of Paris, lots of good cheap restaurants and not too far from the action.

If you look up your hotel on www.tripadvisor.com you should be able to find out more information on it. I've stayed in a couple of hotels in the Latin quarter and found them to be charming. A word of warning though, hotel rooms in Paris are far, far smaller than their American equivalents.

That's true. I remember the lift in our hotel; many years ago, looked about the size of a kitchen service lift ;) One case and 2 people and it was full :rotfl:

That's true about the size of the hotel rooms in Paris! If you look at them from the perspective of cosy, truly Parisian hotels, you'll be fine. Our hotel room in Paris (7eme) was one of the smallest rooms I've had in a hotel... however I wouldn't have traded it for anything! It was perfectly, truly Parisian and we had a perfect view of the Eiffel Tower.

We had to laugh when it came to the bathroom though. The shower was so small I had to leave my toiletries on the toilet seat opposite, and when I bent down to pick them up, my behind kept switching the water off

Enjoy the experience! I absolutely love Paris and keep returning there year after year :)
