Hormone Replacement therapy...

Thanks everyone... I think I can handle most of the symptoms, but lately I've been a moody you know what and that, well along with the insomnia, achyness, hot flashes and about 20 other symptoms... :sad2: If I could just get some relief for those biggies for a bit then I think I could handle the rest. I have researched the therapies and I think I may like to try something short term - but will be seeing the Dr. on Monday.

They did take 6 vials of blood today... we'll see...

I agree to make sure they check your thyroid levels since the symptoms are basically the same. The achyness is one that I had before my hypothyroidism was diagnosed along with being tired all the time, dry skin and my hair falling out.

Except with hypothyroidism, you tend to be cold instead of hot.

I thought this *may* even out my hot flashes. Did not. While living in Indiana, I remember sleeping in the winter in a summer nightie with only a sheet and maybe not even that. We kept our "heat" on at 62 in the winter!

I didn't take HRT after menopause nor a complete hysterectomy. Family history of heart problems and blood clots.

I had a complete blood workup done before I went on them...thyroid was good... thank god for small things because most of my friends have trouble with it.

I wish I could use HRT, at 39 I had a complete hysterectomy & have had severe night sweats & migraines for 3 years because of menopause.
