We will be staying at Horizons by Marriott in Oct. Does anyone out there have any experiences with this resort? Any pics? We stayed at Grande Vista last year and it was great. Can't wait for my little one to see this pool area. Thanks for all the help!!

Still looking for Horizons info. Anybody out there that has any scoop on Marriott Horizons? I would really appreciate any and all info about the resort, especially pics. Thanks so much!!

I stayed at Horizons in 4/04 with my children (4, 6). We had a great time. They loved the pool with the pirate ship (went every day). We used the "spray ground" area only a couple of times. They have mini golf on site. The condo unit was great - we had a balcony that overlooked a water (pond?) area so we sat there quite often. I'm sorry I don't have any pictures with me to share. I think i have some at home but they are of the kids at the pirate ship pool and I guess you've already seen the website pictures of that.

My only complaint/concern was with the pirate pool area. Because of the themeing of the pool area, there are some areas that have a rope "wall" - if your child is swimming without you, just be aware of where you are sitting and what is in your way if you need to get in the pool quickly. The zero entry is great and the pirate ship isn't in too deep, however, some kids are not watching when they go down the slide and hit others, I was sitting and watching my kids through one of these rope things and one time my son was hit by another slider and was knocked down, I wanted to get to him quickly - of course by the time I got there he was fine, but . . . So anyway, it just made me pay more attention when I chose my seat the next time.

We own at Horizons and have been 8 weeks and love it. I will see if I can make a picture album work:

These are pictures of the resort and our room in building 14. This is the new building with the 47" TV. You can see the king bedroom and the 2 queen bedroom, kitchen, etc.

The resort is great for kids under 10 and has lots of activities, etc.

As owners we can golf for $40 for the week. You can also play basketball, ping pong, foosball, pool, etc and play in the waterpark.

Is the pirate ship pool area heated? Looking to go early Nov. and want to swim too! Are there patio lounges around the pool ? Is it a sunny area? What section , floor do you suggest? How close to Sea World?

Wow Horizons is bright. We stayed at the Grande Vista and it's not colorful like that. Think we'll try Horizons next trip, my kids would love the pirate pool,

Yes

Are there patio lounges around the pool?
Do you mean lounge chairs? Yes, surrounding the pool.

Is it a sunny area?
Good sun area although some areas becoming shady in the afternoon. I do recommend a good screen to prevent getting sunburned ... it doesn't take much time to burn & or cause skin damage.

What section , floor do you suggest?
bldg 12 for view of Lake Willis & bldg 13 for pool view
floors 3-6 have great views of the area - if walking is a problem, you could request a ground floor unit

How close to Sea World?
You could walk to it but there are NO sidewalks per say along the way. It would be about a 3-5 minute drive depending on traffic.
