Horace & Clarabelle

I believe someone had posted last week about having seen Horace & Clarabelle at MK, and I also mentioned it in a little mini day trip report, but for those who are looking for character hunting updates, I thought I would start it's own thread!

We found them as we entered MK just inside the turnstiles. Clarabelle was just going on a break, but we choose to wait and in just a few short minutes, they both came back out!

For us it has been a pretty successful three weeks of character collecting - we found several villians that we were in need of in MGM on Sunday afternoon, Rabbit from Pooh in the UK, the Three Caballeros in Mexico on Saturday, and now Clarabelle & Horace!

We also saw them Saturday am- at the entrance.

We saw them Sept 29 pm (individually) at the entrance and Sept 30 am (together). It was such a thrill!!!!!! My sis and I are big character hunters so this was amazing!!!!!

We saw them both in the new Family Fun parade at MK (not sure of the exact name of the parade, but it just started last week). And of course, in the Boo to You parade during MNSSHP.

I am really happy that disney is getting all these rare characters out!! Other people have said that Jiminy now does Meet and Greets at Animal Kingdom and The Three Caballeros are at epcot!! Hopefully they will all stay out to do meet and greets for good.

I did see the 3 caballeros 3 times during the past week. The character host did say they were "testing" those characters to see if people liked them. The sad thing is that most people wanted to see Donald and didnt care for Panchito nor José. So when the characters were leaving, everyone asked the character host where they could find Donald! I was more excited about the 2 others than Donald that i saw like 15 times throughout our stay!

Some people saw Jiminy? Now, i'm jealous! Saw all the typicall characters at AK: Donald, Minnie, Mickey, Stitch, Brother bear, Flik...thats it ....no Jiminy

I believe Jiminy has been seen at Rafiki's Planet Watch in recent weeks. That's great. We had found him in MK on Earth Day and I was so excited. It makes sense that he would be in Planet Watch, since he is the Environment/Conservation "spokescricket" for Disney!

When we saw the Three Cabelleros on Sunday the folks around us were very excited to be seeing them - they make such a cute group!!!!

We found Villians at MGM too that we had not seen out and about for some time! Evil Queen, Queen of Hearts, Jafar, as well as not so villanous Penguis with Mary Poppins! We saw Dopey with Snow White too - I know he is not rare, but we had not seen them together!

It's great that they are getting more characters out.

Is Rafiki's Planet Watch the building with all the animals painted on the entrance walls? If so, that's the building we saw Jiminy in, along with Rafiki.

That's it - I think some folks miss it because you have to make the train ride back. I know we did for the first two years we lived here!!!

As I said in the Jiminy (sp?) thread, I think this is all tied in to their new promotion - year of a million dreams. Which I am all for, I want to catch that Rabbit in UK too. So excited....!!

We found him by chance in the toy store in the UK - he had not been there all day - and was leaving shortly after we were there. I have also heard folks say they have seen him around the American Pavilion.

I think he is on one of those characters that you just have to be n the right place at the right time. I headed to UK the evening we found him after someone had told me they had seen Mary Poppins with a Penguin, and I was in search of the Penguin. When I go there no Penguin was to be found... but Rabibit was! Fortunately, the next day at MGM I got Mary and THREE Penguins!!!

ok - so I missed the boat on this one. Who the heck are Clarabelle and Horace? They look really cute but what are they from? I grew up watching Wonderful World of Disney on TV etc but just do not recall these 2 cows. Anyone?

Clarabelle & Horace were created during the late 1920s. Horace is a horse (hence his last name "Horsecollar"). You can read more about these wonderful characters here:
