Hopping to Epcot for Illuminations

Is this mission impossible? We want to hop to Epcot from DHS, on a Saturday night to see Illuminations, entering through the International Gateway. I know Epcot will be crowded for Food and Wine Fest, but we can`t fit Illuminations in our schedule at any other time. So what time should we get to WS, in order to have a good view of the show, and where would you grab a viewing spot? Thanks!

No need to get to Epcot early for a good spot. There are literally lots of good spots all around WS. Just be sure that you aren't down-wind.

entering through the International Gateway.

I think I would want to be entering that Gateway no later than 8:30, so leaving HS no later than 8:00. Make your way to the right once you enter and keep walking around until you see a spot you like.
