Hopping from AK to MK - a good idea?

We'll have a single day park hopper in October. My initial plan was to head to MK only (it'll be me, DS6 and my parents (late 60's)) and not hop at all. With the Pandora rides opening, I was thinking we could start our day in AK for 2 hours or so and then head to MK. My plan would be to be in MK for lunch and then spend the rest of the afternoon/evening in MK (it's not a party day). Is this too much for one day? How long does it take to hop from AK to MK using bus transportation? Is the best way to grab the monorail at TTC or should I take a bus to the Contemporary and walk to MK from there?

Any chance I'll be able to do the 2 Pandora rides and the safari without FP and still get it all done in 2 hours? Touring Plans suggests it can be done, but I guess we won't really know what the Pandora wait times are until they actually open, so it might not make sense to even try. I want to keep my FPs for MK.

I know we could get a lot done in one day in MK without wearing out DS or my parents. Adding AK, though I would really like to see the new attractions, might be too much for them unless everyone is willing to sacrifice a bunch of attractions in MK. Would it be better to start in MK and finish up in AK after dinner (though the safari won't be an option at that point)?

Any thoughts? Have you done AK to MK and would you do it again?

Thanks!

1. It wouldn't be for my family. I can't answer for your family.

2. 30 to 45 minutes.

3. There is a direct bus. There's no bus from AK to the TTC and there's no reason to go to the contemporary.

4. That seems very unlikely.

You could still do the safari at night. If you really want to do both Pandora rides I would do MK in the morning, eat dinner, then go to AK with FP's set up for one Pandora ride and just standby the other

If you rope drop ak and rush to Pandora, I'd imagine you'll make it on one ride say 5-30 min wait, but when you get off I could easily see the other being 60+ min. Then the safari could have a lengthy wait. 2 hours would be tight
