Hoppin' @ the Pop fridge missing! Can you help?

The fridge as well as the toaster & coffee pot for this swap has gone missing. Here are pictures of the boxes:

I was there last week and checked with luggage services daily, but was not able to find a fridge that looked like this. The actual fridge is white and has the name of our swap as well as names of swappers written on the top of it!

If you happen to receive this fridge, would you please contact me? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

Is there suppose to be an Ashley Fitzgerald w/ your fridge right now?

I ask because it seems something weird happened w/ our fridge ("new POP fridge swap") like a month ago. It's hard to put the pieces together. But the person in our swap that was leaving Disney on 9/26 was suppose to put it in a certain persons name that was arriving on the 26th and instead he got a call or email near the end of his stay from the next person and was told to put the fridge under Ashley Fitzgerald's name instead. I can't talk to the person that told him to do so because she's in Disney right now. I get the fridge next and have no idea what's going on.....

So, if that name rings a bell...then you probably have your fridge back. If it doesn't, then what's going on in our swap probably has nothing to do w/ yours.

I agree...what is going on?! I'd love to ask the person for our swap, who told the person before her to put the fridge in someone else's name, but she's down there right now and I'm going down to get it from her...hopefully she has a fridge in her possession.

If luggage services is constantly bothered by us looking for a fridge then I can see them totally shutting down our swaps.....less work for them, right?! Hopefully all of this gets straightened out soon.

lovemyboys2009 is NOT Ashley Fitzgerald. I did, however, receive the following from UKVermonter:

Hi, this is UKVermonter we did a face to face swap with KKB and the fridge we got from them was a fridge from "Hoppin' @ Pop FREE fridge/coffee pot/toaster - Under New Management!" we was going to give it to "MyPrincessisaPirate" but when I talked to them on 9-26-09 they told me to give it to luggage services and put the name Ashley Fitzpatrick on the fridge it also had a coffee maker with it.

UKVermonter is in this swap: New POP Fridge Swap, Anyone?. I don't know if any of that helps or not. I've contacted the leader of that swap (coconutsunshine), but she recently had a baby, so she's not on the boards as much as she was previously.

We'll keep working on it. As I said, I have a friend down there, that volunteered to head over to Pop, if we think we might have it figured out. When we get our fridge back, I'll have her get over there and put my name and contact info all over it, so hopefully this won't happen again. I won't be back down there until December 3-6.

Yup, I got that same PM from UKVermonter. I'm next in line for that fridge, on New POP fridge swap. Myprincessisapirate is there before me and suppose to be putting my name on it when she leaves. But I have no idea what fridge she has, if any, and what'll I'll be getting. very confusing. I'm not going to have internet access while I'm there so I'll have no way of checking the boards to see what's going on. The person after me on the New POP swap (run by coconutsunshine) is poolrat and that's whose name I'll be putting on it unless I somehow hear otherwise.

One of our two Pay It Forward boxes keeps going missing too. What is going on at POP?

my experience is that POP isn't trying. It all depends on who you get. One Cm will quickly walk back and come right back out and say an item isn't there. 10 minutes later you can ask another CM and they would find it right away.

I have advised our swappers to keep the strollers out of LS. While I was there I seen strollers sitting outside around the corner of the building. I seen fridges sitting outside behind the Flight check-in area. I had to send a CM back to the room 4 times as they brought out the wrong stroller...saying it was definitely the one left for me...and it didn't even have my name on it, it had someone elses name on it. Ours-as it was explained to the Cm was a HUGE two-tone blue DOUBLE stroller and he literally brought out a red single stroller saying it was mine.

I think currently it is the help that is at POP Century...an I am not saying this as disrespectful...but the CMs I dealt with there was a language barrier. They didn't speak or understand English very well so they were having a very hard time understanding what I was explaining to them when it came to a description of the strollers. They were getting frustrated as was I. If all else fails, when calling or visiting LS...ask to speak the the POP Century Luggage Services Manager. If they can't find the item, ask to speak to POP CENTURY LOST AND FOUND or go to the front desk and talk to them about it. It does definitely help.

Sadly, best bet is face to face hand offs...which I know it isn't possible BUT if all the swaps united and stroller/fridge/box sit..we will at least keep the items out of LS.

I spoke to Ashley Fitzpatrick and she definately has our fridge and coffee pot. She is going to contact the current swapper and try to arrange an exchange, so we have our fridge back! Yay!
