Hoppers and FP

Hi! Have a resort and ticket package booked. I was lucky enough to win 5 free hoppers at a local fundraising event in my town and adjusted my ticket package accordingly. Here’s my question:

When I add the hoppers to my account do they then become tied to my travel dates and can book the FP for them on my assigned FP booking date?
Do I not tie them to my account but then when can I put FP on them?
Just confused on logistics- what would you do?

What do you mean you adjusted your ticket package accordingly?

As long as the free tickets do not have date restrictions, once you link them to your account, you will be able to book fastpasses whenever your eligibility window opens. All the system does is look in your account for valid tickets.

The use date will not be established until you actually enter a park with them.

To clarify: I had the package booked prior to winning so I had to remove 2 days of paid tickets to account for the winning tickets.

Going to link them to the account today- thanks!

So many questions pop in my head when I read your post. How much did your package price get reduced to when you took out 2-days of tickets? A 1-day PH that is not date-based is "worth" around $150/day. But usually, adding extra days to package tickets doesn't cost that much after the first 4 days. Each additional day is only like $10 more. So, if you are reducing package tickets, from say, 6 days to 4 days, it would be better to save the fundraising PH tickets for another trip.

The second question that comes up, is say, you reduced your package tickets from 4 days to 2 days, so it's worth it. Are your package tickets *also* hoppers? because if they are not, you will need to stop at GR to prioritize what ticket to use on what day, so that you don't accidentally use a PH ticket on a non-hopping day and a PH ticket on a hopping day. This will not be an issue if your package tickets have PH. If you are moving between hopping das and non-hopping days and you don't have PH tickets on your package, you will have to stop by GR every day that you need to re-prioritize.

I may be overthinking your situation, but just wanted to bring this up in case these situations come into play for your trip. Better to figure this out before you embark on your trip.
