Ok, so I'm looking at piecing a Disney trip together and linking it to our old magic bands. I've never done this before. Is this fairly easy to do? Anyways...

I was going to buy the 3 day hopper. But looking, I found I can get 5 single park tickets for less. So...

Can I use 2 single park ticket in one day?? For example, use 1 ticket at AK in the am, then a second ticket at Epcot in the pm?

Does that confuse the magic bands? How does that effect FP+? Can I book FP for each ticket I plan on using?

Please help! Thanks!!!!

You can't do that, sorry. Disney figured out that trick long, long ago. (This question is asked all the time.)

No you can not use two days of your 5 day ticket in one day. In order to hop parks, you must have a park hopper option added to your ticket. Since you can't use two day, you can not book extra fp. Hope this helps!

Also, what you found was cheaper wasn't 5 single park tickets - that would be about $500. It would've been a 5-day base ticket, so you wouldn't actually have 5 tickets, but one ticket that's good for 5 days of admission. If you did actually have 5 single tickets, you could use 2 in a day, but there would be no savings in that and would in fact cost more.

If you have a 5 day ticket you can't use 2 days of your ticket to enter two different parks on the same day,to do that you need to add the hopper option. If you have two separate tickets with say 2 days on one ticket and 3 on the other then you can do it but it wouldn't make sense financially.

If you have 5 single park tickets in your hand -- that is, five separate plastic media cards -- then you can use them to enter different parks on different days. But I'm confused. Single park tickets cost around $105. That would be $525 for 5 tickets. A 3-day hopper costs around $350.

Don't know where you could get 5 single tickets for less than $350. Unless they are from an auction, etc. But if what you describe here is five actual single cards, then you're good. If you have one plastic media card with 5 days worth of park visits on the one card, then you can't do what you're trying to do.

THANK YOU!!!!! Exactly what I wanted to know!! :thanks:

I misspoke... it was the 5-Day Magic Your Way base ticket, NOT 5 single day passes. Sorry about that.

So boooo! I wasn't aware it was a one park/day deal. Makes sense for Disney to limit it like that though though. Gotta sell those hoppers! :P

Next question... do we stay an extra night and squeeze in 5 days or just stick with 3 nights and the hopper? It'll end up being roughly around the same price (trying to do it on a budget since this would be trip #2 this year). Also it will be the Sun-Wed(ish) before Thanksgiving, soooo crowds. What do you think?

So far I'm only saving like $250 piecing it together. Disney makes it awful convenient to do it all at once!! That Disney rewards card would give me another $200 off. Awful tempting!! Have any of you have luck piecing trips together?

You can however buy a 4pm park entrance to Epcot.
